Prague

OBECNI’ DŮM in Prague has recently been showcasing for two weeks – from April 27th till May 11th, 2010 – an exhibition about Sardinian handicrafts; a show which allowed visitors to discover an hardly known side of this island, revealing with an innovative and unusual approach the millenary roots of its tradition. The hundred exhibited works – baskets, wood and cork, pottery, iron works, weaving and embroidery – come from the 19th Biennial of Sardinian Arts and Crafts, and comprise some of the objects created by Pierluigi Piu and forged by ironsmith master from Orani, Pierpaolo Ziranu. All products are listed in the exhibition’s catalogue, edited in Czech language.
