Wall coverings made out of modular natural stone slabs, engraved to reproduce - due to the effect of the shadow generated by the deep traces imprinted by milling - a typical pattern of traditional Sardinian weaving.
The grooves branch out on the stone surface, leaving wide gaps in the pattern, almost as if to reproduce large areas of wear caused by walking on an old, worn carpet. Part of the lattice is then filled with a thin laser cut profile of copper, brass or bronze, emerging out of the surface, to express the intention of restoring the ancient fabric and, at the same time, give brightness to the artefact and offer a stimulating tactile sensation.
Materials: "Pietra Pece" natural stone and satin finished brass inlays
Dimensions of single slabs: 90x45x2cm
